First, I really like this daybed. I love that it can be two separate twins or one king. We used 6" memory foam mattresses and my elderly parents said it was perfectly comfortable. But (!) the parts came in two boxes. One box was bronze, the other white. We didn't have time to request the correct set so we now have a multicolored daybed. It's... Odd.Anyway, my husband put it together in a bit over an hour, said it was easy to do, and it looks nice if very odd.Great for office / guest room! Description was accurate. We thought this would not be sturdy but it is! Looks great and serving its purpose well thus far. We assembled the bed in just about an hour. (I highly recommend 2 people). The wheels on the trundle seem a bit cheap and I don't think it will endure much use but so far with careful maneuvering it has survived our first wave of overnight guests. We used the shipping cardboard to put on top of the metal slats (fits perfectly) and bought the 6" Walmart bunk bed mattresses and it turns out that our guest reported being pretty comfortable. Many parts are defective, bend and unable to assemble! I had to asked a guy using tools to fix the bend parts….3 hours back broken work. I was too lazy to return it, so had to put up with it.But it is a nice looking daybed. I like it does not have sharp edges which is saferI cut back to only 4 stars because the rollers on the trundle are poor quality, and one broke as we tried to install it. Can't find a replacement (not a standard size), so just removed all rollers. "Industrial" design. We put 8" foam mattresses on the beds, but would have been better with 7" (if you have rollers on trundle).I looked for months to find something that would go into my tiny house and also serve as a place for guests to sleep. This was the perfect buy. It was pretty easy to set up (and bring in off the porch) after I figured out what was what- took me about 2 hours by myself but I took my time to make sure I did it correctly the first time. Very solid and sturdy. My son & DIL were the first to try it- we did put the mattresses side by side vertically. My son Is 6'3" and he fit! I will caution about mattresses - buy the size they recommend if you plan to store the trundle under the bed. I bought 2 10" mattresses because I use the trundle as a single bed in my spare room and so they would be the same height to use vertically. You will need the 6" (I think is what they recommended) if you plan to slide it under.I'm very happy with this set up!!!!So let me start by saying the bed itself is not bad. It could use better mobility but other than that it is exactly what it says it is and is very sturdy. I'm leaving this review for anyone like me who wanted a traditional trundle bed but wanted the ability to level the beds. These unit are two SEPARATE units, the trundle is not attached in any way to the bed itself, which gives it the ability to slide around on the floor. That's my only issue, and it probably could've been avoided had I read a littler further into the reviews or the information on the bed itself. Just for anyone wondering! I personally feel it was still a good buy just not exactly what I was looking for.My husband assembled it and he said, easy. We’ve been using this for a couple days, as our every-night bed in our RV (full-time living/traveling in it). Overall we love it!Fairly sturdy, we haven’t had major issues yet. We are considering getting something to connect the mattresses at night because we’re using it as a king.8” memory foam mattresses DO work but you have to slightly lift the frame to push the trundle underneath. Not a big deal of effort for the amount of convenience this provides.
